irregular recording duration

Hi again,
I'm excited to have some more time to work with the VS. I'm trying to load a few longer clips of various length. For some reason they get clipped even when previewing, which makes me think it's something in my SoundScore.txt?
I've used the standard VS_Loader sketch in Arduino with 80 sound bytes. I may be thinking about wrong, but if the VS holds 4 minutes of sound in total, and we divide that by 80 sound bytes, that should leave us with 3 seconds for each sound byte. Does that mean if I only use every second sound byte, I would get 6 seconds each? Would my SoundScore.txt look like:
1 One.wav
3 Two.wav
5 Three.wav
7 Four.wav
What would then happen if One.wav was actually a 10 second clip? I have a similar setup, but for some reason, some sounds are recording for different lengths of time. Some sounds record for 3 seconds or so, and some for less then 1 second...

Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot

Yes. You can also mix and match sizes by choosing different sound slots depending on how large your clips are.

What would then happen if One.wav was actually a 10 second clip?

Situation 1: If you recorded the audio in order, one, two, three etc ... Two.wav would overwrite part of One.wav. So, if you played sound One.wav, it would play normally but would get chopped at about 6 seconds and it would also play the rest of Two.wav. If you played Two.wav it would play normally.

Situation 2: If you recorded all of the other audio and then recorded One.wav. One.wav would overwrite part of Two.wav. So, if you played sound One.wav, it would play normally. If you played Two.wav it would only play about 2 seconds of the end of One.wav.
