OSX 10.6 issue?

I've been suffered with my OSX 10.6.3, I can't run serial_midi converter V2D...
every time i try it. it shows

uncaught exception in main method:
java.lang.RuntimeException:
java.langRumtimeException: Error inside Serial.prots
()

is anyone can help?

I haven't done that 10.6.3 update yet. Have you removed both mmj.jar and libmmj.jnilib from /Library/Java/Extensions and made sure that the serial drivers you are using are compatible with 10.6.3? Which serial device are you using?

My platform is Arduino Duemilanove. So I'm usingthe serial usb driver which came with the arduino software.
I did removed both mmj.jar and libmmj.jnilib. However it doesn't help. V2c can run very well in my new macbookpro under 10.6.3. But not as fast as v2d in my old mac under 10.6.3.

I had that problem
I fix it by

getting information on the app ( apple key plus I)
set app to run in 32 bit mode.
after that works like a charm

Hi, I'm getting this message too.

I'm running Mac OS 10.6.7, on an Intel Macbook Pro, and hope to interface my Arduino Mega 2560 with Ableton Live.

I downloaded the mmj file but didn't install anything as it seems the instructions tell you to delete the files it tells you to install - could I be missing something here though?

The Mega has built in USB drivers as far as I can find out, so I don't know how I'd follow the fix other users had for this problem...
